So this fitting has a hose barb on one end and a pipe thread on the other, right? Just want to make sure I'm seeing that right.

That's correct. On one side, you've got a hose barb designed for a 1-1/2 inch tube OD. The other end features a 1-1/4-11-1/2 Male NPTF pipe thread.
