does this plug work with standard push-to-connect fittings or do you need something special to hook it up?
Question by: Ross H on Feb 22, 2026, 4:03 PM
Push-to-connect on one end means no tools are needed to make the connection. The ball lock mechanism handles engagement, and the sleeve lock holds it secure once seated. On the other end you've got a 3/8 NPTF port, so as long as your mating fitting matches that thread type, you're good to go without any adapters or specialty hardware.

What size fitting do I need for this plug, if I'm connecting to a 3/8 NPTF port?

Since the Eaton ONE WAY Plug has a 3/8 NPTF end, it's ready to connect directly to your 3/8 NPTF port.

got a 3/8 NPTF line already, is this the right plug to screw in on that side and still quick-connect on the other?

With one end set up as NPTF and the other end being a push to connect style, it’s meant to thread into an NPTF port and give you a quick disconnect plug on the other side. The port size on the threaded end is 3/8.
