Product Questions & Answers

what all kind of equipment is this pump used on? got a mini excavator and a loader backhoe both needin work and tryin to figure out if one pump covers both
Question by: Terry O on Aug 6, 2025, 8:13 PM
Both of those machines are right in the wheelhouse for this pump. The 420 Series X20 Open Circuit Piston Pump covers a wide spread of mobile equipment including mini excavators and loader backhoes, along with crawler dozers, agriculture tractors, articulated haulers, concrete and asphalt pavers, and a good stretch of other heavy equipment types. Mining machinery, railroad equipment, utility boom trucks, and rough terrain forklifts are also on the list. So yes, both pieces of equipment you mentioned fall squarely within the confirmed application range for this pump.

Will this pump work good on my tractor for running a log splitter attachment?
Question by: Debbie S on Feb 19, 2026, 11:55 AM
This Danfoss / Eaton pump is well-suited for agriculture tractors, among many other applications. It's built to handle the high-pressure and high-flow requirements that are common in demanding mobile hydraulic setups like running a log splitter.
