What kind of equipment is this pump actually built for? Got a crawler dozer and a couple mini excavators on the lot and trying to figure out if this'd work across both.

Both of those machines fall right in line with what the X20 420 Series was put together for. Crawler dozers and mini excavators are listed applications, so you're not forcing a fit here. The pump handles open circuit axial piston work at 80cc displacement, which suits the kind of variable load and recovery demands those machines put on a hydraulic system on a regular basis.
