Reckon this pump would hold up okay on a loader backhoe?

Engineered for demanding environments, this Danfoss / Eaton piston pump is certainly up to the task on loader backhoes, as well as mining machinery and agriculture tractors.

pump's only 5.75 inches wide, that gonna be tight fittin it into a mini excavator setup or does that size work out alright for most installs?

For mini excavator applications, that 5.75-inch width is actually one of the reasons this pump gets spec'd into those builds. Compact footprint matters a lot when you're working around tight mounting configurations, and this unit was put together with that kind of integration in mind. It also shows up in concrete and asphalt paver setups for the same reason, so the form factor tends to cooperate well in space-constrained installs.
