Product Questions & Answers

Running a loader backhoe on a pretty heavy schedule and been looking at upgrading the pump setup. This the 80cc displacement unit, correct, and does it hold up to that kind of continuous work?
Question by: Tommy R on Oct 28, 2025, 8:41 AM
At 80cc displacement, this is the full-size unit in the 420 Series lineup and it's built with loader backhoe use listed right in its application range. Fast response and recovery times are part of what makes it practical for that kind of work, where demand shifts constantly and downtime isn't really an option. High pressure and flow capacity also mean it's not going to be starved when the hydraulic load spikes under a full bucket.

What kind of machines would I find this Eaton pump on?
Question by: Dean W on Aug 21, 2025, 11:51 AM
Designed for demanding mobile uses, this piston pump is a good fit for loader backhoes, agriculture tractors, and mining machinery, as well as dump trucks, railroad equipment, and container handling systems. You'll also see them on cranes, cable plows, and even tunnel boring equipment.
