This Danfoss/Eaton piston pump is well-suited for dump truck lifts, along with other applications like loader backhoes and agriculture tractors.

Got a mini excavator and a couple crawler dozers on the farm that been running older pumps for years. Would this 420 series unit hold up to that kind of work or is it more of a light-duty thing?
Question by: Harvey B on Jan 30, 2026, 4:28 PM
Heavy cycle mobile equipment is exactly where this pump earns its keep. The 420 Series was built around demanding mobile hydraulic applications, and crawler dozers and mini excavators are both listed right in its intended use cases. High pressure and flow capacity are core to what this unit delivers, so it ain't a light-duty option by any stretch. If your older pumps have been struggling to keep up with cycle timing or load variation, the fast response and recovery characteristics on this one should make a noticeable difference in day-to-day operation.
