Product Questions & Answers

Is this pump gonna hold up on my dump truck lift, or is it overkill?
Question by: Kirk T on Dec 27, 2025, 9:40 AM
It's designed for applications just like that, including dump truck lifts, so it should be a good fit. It can handle the high pressure and flow needed for that kind of equipment.

Got a mini excavator that's been burning through pumps and I need something that'll hold up under real variable load conditions. This the right platform for that kind of work?
Question by: Johnny C on Jan 15, 2026, 6:43 AM
Variable load handling is exactly where the X20 420 Series earns its keep. The pump is built for mobile applications that see inconsistent demand, and mini excavators are actually listed as one of its target applications. At 3.80 CID (62 cc) displacement with high pressure and flow capacity, it can manage the kind of load swings that tend to wear out lesser pumps faster. The response and recovery characteristics on this series are also worth noting since faster cycle recovery means less strain on the system between load events.
