Product Questions & Answers

Got a loader backhoe that needs a new pump and I been looking at the X20 series. This a good fit for that kind of machine?
Question by: Lee B on Jul 27, 2025, 6:18 AM
Loader backhoes are actually one of the main applications this pump was built around. The 420 series X20 open circuit piston pump covers a pretty wide range of mobile equipment, including agriculture tractors, mining machinery, dump truck lifts, and rough terrain forklifts, so a loader backhoe is well within its intended use. The 3.80 CID displacement puts it in a solid working range for that type of application.

Reckon this pump could handle the hydraulics on my old log loader? It's a Danfoss, but I ain't sure 'bout the specs.
Question by: Keith P on Oct 12, 2025, 10:34 AM
This Eaton/Danfoss open circuit piston pump is often used in material handling trucks and rough terrain forklifts, which are similar applications to log loaders. Since it's part of the 420 series, it offers high pressure and flow capacity, which should be suitable.
