Been looking at this pump for a crawler dozer application and wanted to know what series it belongs to and if it fits in the open circuit category.

Part of the 420 series, and yes, it runs open circuit. Eaton and Danfoss both carry it under that lineup, and it's built specifically for mobile hydraulic work. Crawler dozers are actually one of the listed applications for this pump, so you'd be in good company putting it to use there.
