Product Questions & Answers

Would this fit on my old backhoe? I'm looking for a replacement for a Danfoss pump.
Question by: Patty W on May 13, 2025, 6:55 AM
This Danfoss/Eaton 420 Series pump with a 3.80 CID (62cc) displacement is often used on loader backhoes, so it's likely a suitable replacement if your old pump matches those specs. Just double-check your backhoe's requirements to be sure.

pump's only 5.75 inches wide -- that seem right for running something like a mini excavator or a loader backhoe without crowding the engine compartment?
Question by: Janice E on Jan 13, 2026, 6:28 AM
For tight engine bays on equipment like mini excavators and loader backhoes, that 5.75-inch width tends to work out well. A lot of mobile machines in that class are built around pumps in this size range, so you're not looking at a unit that's going to eat up space you don't have. The 62cc displacement gives you solid flow capacity without the bulk you'd get from a larger frame pump, which is part of why this series gets spec'd on compact and mid-size equipment pretty regularly.
