Product Questions & Answers

What all kinda machines does this pump work on?
Question by: Neal Y on Apr 2, 2026, 4:00 PM
This open circuit piston pump is well-suited for machinery like loader backhoes, crawler dozers, mini excavators, and concrete/asphalt pavers. It's also used in material handling equipment and other mobile applications that need fast hydraulic response.

Got a mini excavator that's been rough on pumps and I'm lookin at the 420 series to replace what I got. This the 80cc displacement version?
Question by: Frank S on Jun 28, 2025, 7:01 PM
Yeah, 80cc is correct on this one. The part number is 421AK00850C and it's listed under the 420 Series from Danfoss Power Solutions. Mini excavators are actually called out as one of the intended applications for this pump, so it's not a stretch to say it was built with that kind of work in mind. The open circuit piston design handles high pressure and flow demand, which tends to be exactly what you need when a machine is working hard and the hydraulic load shifts around a lot.
