motor says 4.88 CID and also 80cc, are those just two ways of sayin the same displacement or are them different specs?

Same displacement, two different unit systems. Cubic inches and cubic centimeters are both measuring the same thing, just expressed differently depending on whether you're working off imperial or metric references. 4.88 cubic inches converts directly to 80cc, so you're looking at one motor with one displacement value listed both ways for convenience.
