Got a loader and a backhoe both running hard most of the day. this pump rated for that kind of work or is it more of a light duty thing?

Heavy, all-day loader and backhoe use is exactly what the 420 Series was built around. Mobile hydraulic applications like those are listed right in its intended use cases, and the pump is spec'd for high pressure and high flow capacity to hold up under that kind of demand. You're not pushing it outside its design by running it hard on that equipment.
