Product Questions & Answers

We run a fleet of loader backhoes and been burning through pumps faster than we'd like. This the 80cc unit, right? Does it hold up well under the kind of variable load cycles that comes with that type of work?
Question by: Hubert C on Feb 27, 2026, 8:51 AM
80 cc displacement is correct, which lines up with the 4.88 CID rating on this unit. Loader backhoe duty is actually one of the primary applications this pump was built around, so variable load cycles are well within its operating range. The X20 420 Series carries some of the fastest response and recovery times available in its class, which matters a lot when you're constantly shifting between dig, swing, and lift functions. High pressure and flow capacity round it out for that kind of continuous demand.

Will this bolt right up to where an Eaton 420 pump used to be?
Question by: Wade A on Apr 25, 2025, 8:19 PM
Designed for mobile hydraulic applications, this Danfoss/Eaton 420 Series pump uses a C-mount configuration, so it should be a direct replacement if your old pump used the same mount.
