Product Questions & Answers

What kind of machines does this pump typically go on? Seems like a lot of different equipment uses it.
Question by: Kent A on Aug 20, 2025, 6:33 PM
Application-wise, you'll find this Danfoss/Eaton pump on loader backhoes, crawler dozers, mini excavators, concrete and asphalt pavers, and articulated haulers. It's also used in material handling equipment like rough terrain forklifts, plus specialized stuff like tunnel boring and railroad equipment.

pump's rated for 80cc displacement -- does that hold up running something like a crawler dozer or mini excavator under real load conditions day in and day out?
Question by: Wayne B on Mar 5, 2026, 8:05 AM
Built on the X20 Series platform, this open circuit piston pump handles exactly that kind of work. Crawler dozers and mini excavators are both listed applications, so the 80 cc displacement and high pressure and flow capacity are matched to those duty demands. The fast response and recovery characteristics also help when load conditions shift quickly, which is pretty common on that type of equipment.
