What kinda machines does this hydraulic pump usually go in? I'm thinkin' about puttin' it in my backhoe.

Commonly, this Char-Lynn pump is found in loader backhoes. It's also used in mining machinery, agriculture tractors, railroad equipment, and material handling trucks.

Running a loader backhoe on a pretty tough jobsite and trying to figure out if this pump'll hold up to that kind of work. It listed for that application or am I barkin up the wrong tree?

Loader backhoes are one of the core applications this pump was built around, so you're in the right place. It's part of the Danfoss/Eaton 420 Series X20 Open Circuit lineup under the Char-Lynn brand, and that whole series was developed with mobile equipment demands in mind. High pressure and flow capacity are built into the design, so it's not going to fold under the kind of load a backhoe puts on a hydraulic system.
