Got a loader backhoe sitting idle cause the pump gave out. This the kind of unit that'd fit that application, or am I barkin up the wrong tree?

Loader backhoes are actually one of the primary applications this pump was built for. The X20 420 Series handles high pressure and high flow demands, which is exactly what that type of equipment puts on a hydraulic pump. It's an open circuit piston pump, so as long as your system is set up for that configuration, you're in the right territory.
