It's got a 5.75-inch width, so you'll want to check that against your existing setup to make sure it'll slot in there.

pump's got a real wide range of uses listed, does it actually hold up in something like a mini excavator or crawler dozer day in and day out, or is that more of a stretch application?

Both mini excavators and crawler dozers are squarely in the intended application range for this pump. The 420 Series open circuit piston design was built around mobile equipment that sees hard, varied work, and those two machine types are explicitly included alongside loader backhoes, articulate haulers, and similar iron. High pressure and flow capacity are core to how it performs, so demanding duty in tight quarters or heavy grading work falls well within what it was made to handle.
