Product Questions & Answers

Got a loader backhoe that needs a new pump and I been tryin to figure out if this 80 cc unit would be the right fit for that kind of machine, is that a reasonable application for it?
Question by: Cheryl F on Jun 27, 2025, 7:53 PM
Loader backhoes are actually one of the listed applications for this pump, so you're on solid ground there. It's an open circuit piston pump built for mobile equipment, and the 420 Series X20 platform is rated for high pressure and high flow, which matches the demands of a backhoe loader pretty well. The 4.88 cubic inch displacement gives you meaningful output per revolution, so it should handle the work cycles those machines put pumps through.

This pump looks like it'd be a good fit for my log loader. Is it really up to that kind of work?
Question by: Neil H on Oct 29, 2025, 5:56 PM
Absolutely, this Danfoss/Eaton piston pump is well-suited for log loaders, along with other heavy-duty applications like feller/bunchers and forwarders. Its high pressure and flow capacity make it a strong contender.
