Product Questions & Answers

Got a mini excavator and a crawler dozer both needing pump work. This the kind of pump that works across that type of equipment or is it more specialized for one thing?
Question by: Ronnie M on Dec 23, 2025, 6:36 PM
Both of those applications are squarely in this pump's wheelhouse. The 420 Series covers a pretty wide range of mobile equipment, including mini excavators and crawler dozers specifically. It's an open circuit axial piston design rated for high pressure and flow, so it's built to handle the kind of demands those machines put on a hydraulic system. Same pump family also sees use on loader backhoes, articulated haulers, pavers, and a handful of other heavy-duty mobile applications, so it's not a narrow-purpose unit by any stretch.

Wondering if this critter would be good for a dump truck lift?
Question by: Bonnie H on Jan 15, 2026, 7:36 AM
Application-wise, this Danfoss/Eaton pump is definitely used in dump truck lifts, as well as other heavy-duty mobile equipment like loader backhoes, ag tractors, and mining machinery.
