Got a mini excavator and a crawler dozer both needing pump work done this season. this the kind of pump that covers both them applications or am I looking at something more specific?

Both of those machines fall squarely within what this pump was built for. The 420 Series open circuit piston pump with 3.00 CID displacement is explicitly listed for mini excavators and crawler dozers, so you're not stretching its intended use at all.
