Got a mini excavator and a crawler dozer both needin' new pumps, this 3.80 CID unit rated for that kind of equipment or is it more specialized than that?

Both of those machines fall right in line with what this pump was built for. The 420 Series covers a pretty wide range of mobile equipment, and mini excavators along with crawler dozers are specifically listed among its intended applications. Same goes for loader backhoes, ag tractors, pavers, and a handful of other heavy mobile platforms. If you're running either of those machines, you're well within the intended use case for this unit.
