Product Questions & Answers

Will this pump work alright on my old Ford tractor's loader? It's a real workhorse but the hydraulics are getting weak.
Question by: Freddie B on Oct 4, 2025, 9:32 PM
This Danfoss/Eaton pump should be a good fit if your tractor's system requires a displacement of around 2.50 CID (41cc). It's used in a lot of agricultural tractors and is made to handle the fluctuating demands that loaders put on a hydraulic system.

What kind of equipment is this pump actually built for? Got a loader backhoe and a couple ag tractors on the property and just want to make sure this ain't overkill or the wrong fit before I order.
Question by: Donna P on Jul 28, 2025, 6:02 AM
For loader backhoes and agriculture tractors, this is right in the wheelhouse. The X20 420 Series covers both of those applications directly, along with crawler dozers, mini excavators, concrete and asphalt pavers, and a range of material handling equipment like rough terrain forklifts. At 2.50 CID (41cc) displacement, it's built for the kind of hydraulic demand those machines put out. You're not looking at overkill here, it fits squarely in the mobile hydraulic category this pump was developed for.
