Product Questions & Answers

What kind of equipment is this pump actually built for? Got a loader backhoe and a couple ag tractors and tryin to figure out if this fits what we run.
Question by: Jerry F on Jan 5, 2026, 8:26 AM
Loader backhoes and agriculture tractors are both squarely in the application list for this pump. It also covers mining machinery, dump truck lifts, vibratory cable plows, railroad equipment, utility booms, rough terrain forklifts, concrete and asphalt pavers, crawler dozers, mini excavators, and a good stretch of other heavy mobile equipment. If you're running both a backhoe and tractors, you're in the right territory.

I'm looking at using this on an older tractor. Any idea if it's a direct swap for a Char-Lynn unit?

Application-wise, this Danfoss/Eaton pump is often used in agricultural tractors. You'll want to check the specs against your existing Char-Lynn pump to confirm it matches the 3.00 CID (49CC) displacement and the 420 Code B configuration for a proper fit.
