Product Questions & Answers

What kind of machines does this pump work with? Looks like I might be able to use it on my backhoe.

This Danfoss/Eaton piston pump is used in loader backhoes, agriculture tractors, mining machinery and other equipment. It's also suitable for dump truck lifts and railroad equipment.

Got a loader backhoe sitting idle cause the pump gave out on us. This a straight swap for the X20 420 series, or is there more to it than that?
Question by: Sherry A on Oct 8, 2025, 2:47 PM
For loader backhoe applications, the 420 Series X20 open circuit piston pump is a recognized fit. The part number here is 421AK00247B, displacement is 2.50 CID (41cc), and it runs under the Code B configuration. As long as your machine was originally spec'd for that displacement and code, you're working with the right unit. Code B is a specific configuration designation, so just confirm your original pump carries that same code before pulling the trigger.
