Product Questions & Answers

Been looking at this for a crawler dozer application, and I gotta say the application list is pretty broad. Is this pump actually built for that kind of heavy equipment or is it more of a general purpose unit?

Crawler dozers are specifically listed among the equipment this pump is built for, so you're not stretching its intended use at all. It sits in the X20 Open Circuit 420 Series lineup from Danfoss Power Solutions, and that series was put together with demanding mobile equipment in mind. The high pressure and flow capacity back that up in a real working sense, not just on paper. It's a 3.00 CID displacement unit, which puts it in a range that fits well with the kind of hydraulic demands a dozer generates during grading and pushing cycles.

Reckon this would hold up alright on a dump truck lift, or is it meant more for lighter duty stuff?
Question by: Danny L on Sep 11, 2025, 11:57 AM
Application-wise, this Danfoss/Eaton pump is definitely up to the task on dump truck lifts. It's also used in heavier applications like mining machinery and tunnel boring equipment, so a dump truck should be well within its capabilities.
