pump's listed for loader backhoes and mining equipment, but what about something like a feller/buncher or log loader out in the timber use -- does it hold up for that kind of work?

Feller/bunchers and log loaders are actually on the application list for this pump. The X20 420 Series handles that kind of heavy-cycle forestry equipment without issue, along with things like crawler dozers and articulate haulers that run in similarly punishing conditions. It's built for mobile open circuit work where pressure and flow demands are high and the environment isn't exactly gentle.
