Product Questions & Answers

We run a fleet of loader backhoes and I been trying to figure out if this pump would hold up to that kind of daily grind. What applications is it actually built for?
Question by: Travis J on Jul 26, 2025, 10:59 AM
Heavy mobile equipment is exactly where this pump earns its keep. The X20 420 series covers a pretty wide range of demanding applications including loader backhoes, agriculture tractors, mining machinery, dump truck lifts, crawler dozers, mini excavators, rough terrain forklifts, and articulated haulers, among others. Concrete and asphalt pavers, tunnel boring equipment, utility booms, and container handling setups are also on that list. For a working backhoe fleet, it fits right in with what this pump was built to handle.

I'm fixin' to replace the hydraulic pump on my loader backhoe. Would this Eaton X20 be a good fit?

This Danfoss/Eaton X20 pump is definitely used in loader backhoes, along with a bunch of other equipment like mining machinery and tractors.
