I'm lookin' for a pump for my tractor. Would this here Danfoss/Eaton deal work alright on an agricultural tractor?

This pump is definitely used in agriculture tractors, as well as other applications like loader backhoes and chemical applicator trucks.

pump's only 5.75 inches wide -- does that make it tough to fit into tighter machine configurations, or is that pretty standard for this class?

For an open circuit piston pump in this displacement range, 5.75 inches across is on the compact side, which does work in your favor when space is tight. Loader backhoes, mini excavators, and material handling trucks all tend to have crowded pump compartments, and that width makes integration a fair bit easier without having to rework mounting brackets or reroute lines around a bulkier unit.
