trying to match up fittings, is this one a -24 hose dash with a 1-1/2 male pipe thread on the other end?

fitting's made of brass, right? just want to make sure before I order cause I've had problems with steel ones corroding on me

Brass is correct. The 412-24-24B is made entirely of brass, which holds up better than steel in a lot of environments where moisture or corrosive conditions are a factor. That said, brass also machines cleanly and seats well, so you get a solid connection without the rust headaches.
