got a -4 hose i’m trying to hook to a 1/8 pipe port. is this the right fitting or am i off a size

Match-up wise, it’s a reusable fitting made for -4 hose (dash 4) and the pipe end is 1/8 male NPTF. If your port is 1/8 female NPTF and your hose is -4, the sizes line up with what this fitting is built for.

fitting says 1/8 male pipe on one end and -4 hose on the other, that right? just wanna make sure before i order a handful of these

Correct on both counts. One end is 1/8 inch NPTF male pipe thread, and the other end connects to -4 size hose. Carbon steel construction, reusable design, so you can pull them off and put them back on without trashing the fitting each time.
