fitting says 3/4 male NPTF on one end and hooks to a -10 hose, that right?

Correct on both counts. One end is a 3/4 inch male NPTF thread, and the hose end connects to a -10 size hose. The hex on the hose end measures 1.12 inches, so make sure you've got the right wrench size before you start. Carbon steel construction throughout, so it's built to handle real working conditions.
