what kind of equipment is this pump actually built for? got a skid steer and an older irrigation setup and trying to figure out if one pump could work for both

Skid steer loaders and irrigation equipment are both listed applications for this pump, so you're actually in a pretty good spot. The PVE series was built with those kinds of mobile and field-use machines in mind, and the aluminum housing keeps weight down which matters when you're mounting it to equipment that moves around.
