What's this body made out of, and what kind of equipment is it typically pulled off of?

Aluminum construction on this one. As far as where it sees use, the B24257 body is built for mobile and industrial hydraulic systems, so you'll find it on harvesters, refuse haulers, and similar working equipment. It's a spare part body within the Vickers 1CE series line, so it's meant to drop into existing setups that already run that configuration.

got a vickers 1CE setup and need the body only. is this B24257 part just the body or am i gonna get extra pieces too

Package contents are just the body. It is a Vickers by Danfoss and Eaton 1CE Series spare part body, supplier part number BXP24257, and the material is aluminum.
