Running this on a refuse hauler that's been giving us fits with pressure spikes. Does the 1DR2 handle up to 5000 psi, or is that just a peak rating?

That 5000 psi figure is the rated pressure capacity for this valve, so it's built to operate at that level, not just handle brief spikes.
