what's the max pressure this valve handles, and is it safe to run it on a refuse hauler?

Rated up to 350 bar, which works out to 5000 psi. That's more than enough headroom for refuse hauler applications, and Vickers actually lists refuse haulers as one of the intended uses for this 1DR Series valve. Flow tops out at 30 liters per minute (8 USgpm), so as long as your system stays within those parameters, you're in good shape.
