Got a harvester that's been giving us fits with load drift on the boom circuit. Would this valve actually hold position without creeping, or is that more of a wishful thinking situation?

Load holding is exactly what this cartridge is built around. The overcentre design keeps the load locked until pilot pressure commands movement, so drift from back-pressure or gravity is controlled rather than something you're fighting after the fact. The integrated check function works alongside that to prevent unintended backflow.
