This a non-adjustable part, right? Just want to make sure before I go trying to modify anything on my end to make it fit.

Correct, no adjustment is built into it. The X0039 is a fixed, machine-mountable sleeve seal, so it's meant to drop into its application as-is. If the fit isn't right, swapping to the correct part number is the move rather than trying to modify the seal itself.
