rotation on this one is clockwise out of the box, but can it be swapped to run CCW if needed?

Clockwise is the default, and yes, the rotation can be changed. You'd do it by reversing the position of the drive shaft and driven shaft, then rotating the front flange. It's a field-adjustable setup, so you're not locked into one direction when the pump ships.
