Been looking at this pump for a skid steer build we got going. Does the S2 39 work in closed loop circuits or does it need an open circuit setup?

Closed circuit is exactly what this pump is built for. The Series 2 heavy-duty design from Danfoss Power Solutions is spec'd for closed loop operation, so it fits right in with hydrostatic drive systems common on construction and ag equipment. If your skid steer build is running a closed loop transmission circuit, this one is a solid match.
