pump says CCW on it, does that mean it only runs counterclockwise, or is that something that can be changed out in the field?

Counterclockwise is fixed on this one. The CCW designation is part of how the pump is built, so rotation is not field-adjustable. If your system calls for a clockwise-turning pump, you'd need a different unit. Worth confirming your drive shaft rotation before ordering.
