both sides on this are 3/8 male, that right? just want to make sure before I go putting it on a line that's already got male fittings on both ends

Yeah, both ends are 3/8 inch male. Keep in mind you'd need female fittings or female-threaded ports on both sides of whatever you're connecting it to. It's not a male-to-female adapter, so the mating hardware on each end has to accommodate a male connection.
