Product Questions & Answers

reckon this hose'd hold up okay with some strong solvents, like MEK or somethin'?
Question by: Denise W on Nov 23, 2025, 4:20 PM
This Synflex hose is built with a polyurethane cover that does a good job of resisting most oils and fluids. It's really made for moisture-sensitive chemicals.

got a job with some moisture-sensitive chemicals, is this blue Synflex hose actually meant for that kind of service?
Question by: Freddie W on Apr 1, 2026, 8:21 PM
For moisture-sensitive chemical applications, the 3440 Series is a good match since it is specifically called out for that use and it uses a polyolefin tube with a polyurethane cover that helps prevent absorption of most oils and fluids.

hose says it's for moisture-sensitive chemical applications -- does that mean it'll hold up if it's regularly exposed to hydraulic oils and other shop fluids too?
Question by: Sherry W on Jul 5, 2025, 3:53 PM
Polyurethane cover on this hose is built to resist absorption of most oils and fluids, so incidental contact with hydraulic oil and similar shop fluids is well within what it's rated to handle. That cover material is specifically chosen for environments where fluid exposure is a constant, not just an occasional concern. The polyolefin tube material adds another layer of chemical resistance from the inside out, which makes it a solid pick for mixed-fluid environments beyond just moisture-sensitive chemical lines.
