pump says CCW rotation on the spec, does that mean it won't work if I try to run it clockwise, or is there some way to flip it?

CCW is fixed on this one. The 30VQ24A is built specifically for counterclockwise rotation and running it the wrong direction will cause the vanes to load incorrectly and the pump won't build pressure right. You'd need a different model speced for CW if that's what your system calls for.
