we run a couple refuse haulers and been looking at proportional valves to replace what we got now - does this Vickers unit handle decent flow or is it more of a light-duty thing?

For refuse hauler work, the flow capacity here is genuinely solid. Rated flows go up to 160 liters per minute, which works out to about 42 US gallons per minute, and the consistent operating flow rate runs at 114 liters per minute. That puts it well within range for the kind of demands refuse haulers typically put on a hydraulic system. The spool style also gives you good flexibility when you're working it into an existing setup without a lot of extra room to spare.
