runs up to 5000 psi, that enough for a refuse hauler setup or is this valve gonna be a weak point in the system?

For refuse hauler applications, 5000 psi is right in the range you'd expect from a workhorse pressure control valve, and this one is built with exactly that kind of equipment in mind. The poppet style construction gives you precise pressure response, so you're not going to see the sloppy control that can wear down a system over time. At 30 liters per minute max flow, it's well-suited for the hydraulic demands typical of that equipment without being oversized for the install.
