runs up to 300 liters a minute on the system side, but what's the actual flow this valve itself handles?

Worth knowing the difference here. The 300 L/min (80 USgpm) figure reflects the broader system capacity this valve is built to work within, but the valve's own rated flow is 4 liters per minute. It's a pressure control valve, not a directional or flow control unit, so that 4 L/min is what's moving through the valve element itself during operation.
