Product Questions & Answers

If I'm running a harvester, would this valve hold up to that kind of use?
Question by: Dean B on Jun 2, 2025, 10:30 AM
Application-wise, this Vickers flow control valve is well-suited for demanding mobile and industrial applications like harvesters and refuse haulers. It's designed to maintain consistent downstream flow even with pressure variations.

Got a harvester that's been running inconsistent flow to the header drive, pressure swings all over the place depending on load. Would a fixed compensated regulator like this one hold things steady, or do I need something adjustable for that kind of situation?
Question by: Scott M on Jun 25, 2025, 9:34 PM
Fixed pressure compensated regulators are actually well-suited for exactly that kind of problem. The whole point of the compensated design is to hold downstream flow steady even when supply pressure or load conditions are jumping around. This valve is rated up to 350 bar and 350 L/min, so it's got plenty of headroom for demanding mobile equipment. The nominal flow rate is set at 23 litres per minute, so as long as that matches what your header drive circuit needs, you'd be getting consistent delivery without having to dial anything in. The fixed configuration also keeps things simpler since there's nothing to adjust or drift out of calibration over time.
