Running this on a refuse hauler that's been giving us fits with the old valve. This one's normally closed and bi-directional, so it'll hold position when the solenoid's off and flow either direction when it's energized?

Correct on both counts. Normally closed means flow is blocked until the solenoid gets power, and the bi-directional design lets fluid pass in either direction once it's energized. For refuse hauler circuits that need a safe default shutoff state, that combination works well. The valve handles up to 350 bar (5000 psi) and flows up to 114 liters per minute, so it's got plenty of capacity for that kind of equipment.
